Jacques Parizeau: Enter the Dragon!

The Return of Freddy Krueger!

Mr. Money and the Ethnic vote himself has stuck his foot in the mess that is the Quebec election.

Today, Mr.Parizeau, a racist and a bigot that Pauline Marois tried to one up beofre she went scurrying back to her hole, stepped into the limelight and endorsed Jean-Martin Aussant of the party Option Nationale.

Not only that but he put his money where his filthy mouth is and kicked in $200 to Aussant’s campaign.

I beg to differ , however, that this vote of confidence will hurt the PQ’s chances of majority.

Marois probably already did that with all her racist backpedaling of the last week.

However that endorsement by knucklehead Parizeau might actually help her chances.

Quebecer”s might take to mean that Marois won’t launch the referendum and be more inclined to vote her way as an act of faux change.

Stranger things have happened in Quebec politics.

What do you think will happen next?

Will Mr. Qu’elle on continue himself come out of the closet?

Coalition Avenir Quebec kicks off Potential Election by Turfing Candidate!

Sovereignists Racists? Where did you ever get an idea like that?

Coalition Avenir Quebec Candidate Kamal Lufti was turfed by his party today for tweeting that sovereignists are racists.

A great start from the new party who wants to make an impact on an election some say will be called August 1st.

Wonder how that compares to some of the things today’s student demonstrators more than likely were saying about Jean Charest and his Liberals?

The unfortunate thing was that Lufti was not necessarily wrong, given the closing remarks of head Separatist Klansman Jacques Parizeau after the last referendum.

After-all they did lose that vote because of money and the ethnic vote didn’t they?

Which message did Quebec voters send?

With last nights split in the Quebec by-elections, I wonder what message the electorate is sending the government and perhaps by extension the country?

Hey Pauline if the country thinks I was an asshole, wait 'til they see you in action!

With the PQ win in a usually safe federal seat, were voters using the by-election as a safe time to send the Charest government a message or is full scale change happening which will lead to another full on unity debate as pompous windbag Pauline Marios seems to think?

With the world economy once again on edge , can Quebec and Canada afford to have that discussion now?

Can Quebec afford to have that discussion no matter the shape of our economy given it relies so much on Federal government assistance ? ( You thought I was going to say because they are a bunch of freeloaders living off the country and whining whenever seat redistribution or senate reform comes up for discussion?)

I would suspect that common sense will eventually prevail and even if the government turns over Quebec will vote to stay in Canada.

If however, we have a referendum and the polls look like we are headed for separation we can always make a robocall or two to Jacque Parizeau”s friends.

You know, his friends named Money and the Ethnic vote!

What do you think?

BC Conservatives gain ground in Metro Vancouver and the Interior:Angus Reid

Angus Reid released a new poll today that showed the BC Conservatives gaining ground in Metro Vancouver and the Interior. This is a happy occasion for the party as Mario Canseco of Angus Reid says “their leader is not particularly well-known at this stage and is not carrying any significant momentum on issues”
One can only imagine the heights the party can climb to,once people start paying attention and get to know John Cummins and the policies that the party represents.

Even more troubling for Premier Christy Clark and her Liberals is the fact that the party has dropped below 30% since Gordon Campbell resigned.

Responding to the poll results, the Premier, mentioned that she was too busy thinking about jobs rather than polls.Given the disastrous results of the who would make the best Premier question,I am thinking the job she is most concerned with would be her own!

Sadly,to be a leader and increase your numbers in those type of questions,a Premier must show leadership on important questions such as the pipeline and the jobs that go with that project.. This premier has not.

For a Premier and a Party that relies on photo ops, this poll would be a great snap shot of where the BC Liberal team are headed,to the bottom with the Titanic!

More dirty politics from Quebec.

We are truly fortunate that the leader of the PQ is so awful, that even 7 of her MNA’s have left and joined another party. We are extremely lucky that a lot of things members vote on at Annual General Meetings of political parties in this country don’t actually make it on to an election platform and get brought into law.

To wit:Yesterday members at a PQ AGM voted a resolution that would allow John Q or Jean Q citizen to launch a citizen led referendum into independence.

What is wrong with this is that ( Other than referendums are very costly) this resolution could lead the very political party that proposed it to putting one of their own members up to launching a referendum so that they may distance themselves form it when it blows up in their faces.

These are the same people that only a week ago shanked potential leadership candidate Duceppe in the back when it appeared he was considering taking a run at Marois and her leadership.

This is more sleazy dirty politics from the people that told the world they lost the last referendum because of money and the ethnic vote.

Where did Ms.Marois stand in all this? No where, she waited until after the vote to join party members on the floor. Her leadership is so bad that that if she had taken a stance on this or any issue the party would have given her the middle finger and voted the opposite way.

Speaking of waving the middle finger, you should all do that to the Globe and Mail but I will leave that to Dean Skoreyko over at BC Blue to tell you why!
