Update: Bring on Miss Congeniality!

Congeniality is my name, rioting in the streets is my game!

Rioter Ryan Dickinson was sentenced to 16 months for participating in last spring’s Stanley Cup hockey riot. He also picked up another month for breaching bail conditions of a previous conviction.

He is the first in a long line pf people who will hopefully be convicted for participating in this nonsense.Hopefully this will send a message to all those that contemplate doing this in the future.

It will be interesting to see what the judge will do with the people who have never had a criminal record.

Vancouverites will be especially interested to learn the fate of the former Miss Congeniality who was alleged to be anything but congenial on the night in question.

She is apparently in plea discussions with the crown. The sentence handed down today will no doubt spur those discussions along.

As her lawyer says this would likely be over and done with had Premier Christy Clark not stepped in and delayed the process with her idiotic idea to televise these trials.

Should she get off with a slap on the wrists, expect the voting public to sentence the Premier and her party to an even lower standing on the polls than they already have!

Update: Miss Congeniality has decided to change her plea and waste more taxpayers money. Rather than plead guilty she will put us through an expensive trial, starting in April 2013!

What a joke! The Christy Clark Judicial system drags on and on.

How do you like that?

BC Liberals Continue trend,Throw Seniors under the bus!

BC Liberals:We are going to need a bigger bus!

The busiest person in the BC Liberal Party lately has been the Proverbial Bus Driver.

To Recap:

The Taxpayers were thrown under the bus with the sleazy introduction of the HST.

Then Finance Minister Kevin Falcon was tossed under the bus by the Premier over the resultant fallout from the aforementioned HST.

Christy Clark has thrown Gordon Campbell under the bus time and time again, when she blames his government for all the mistakes caused by the Liberals.( It’s a given that since Clark has had her fingerprints over a large part of what the Campbell government did,she threw herself under the bus too! She just doesn’t realize it)

Next on the list: New Minister of Justice Shirley Bond. She no sooner said the issue before the courts with the TV cameras was over, then Premier Clark promptly tossed her under the bus with a statement about soldiering on and finding a way to get them in there.

Now comes word, the BC Liberal Government for the last 11 years has collectively thrown the Senior population under that same bus. The BC Ombudsman put together a scathing 400 page report on the inadequacies of the system and presented it yesterday. Worse news is that the Liberals have had it in their hands for some time ( they have had part of the plan since 2009) and have done nothing with it.

Admittedly people like Clark,Campbell,Falcon and Bond belong where they were thrown. But the Taxpayers and Seniors?

It kinda makes you wonder who’s next, doesn’t it?

Vancouver Parks Board is well …dumb

Tryka: What did you think was going to happen? You adopted us to a meat seller!

In a story that is both sad and baffling another political entity in the lower mainland has made yet another galling decision that may have tragic consequences.

It appears that the Vancouver Parks Board has adopted out 17 animals to a farmer who sells livestock meat for a living.

Why would you be shocked when you checked up on the adoption to only find 1 alive.

In a number of stories the representatives from the Parks Board said they did their due diligence.

Kinda makes you wonder if they know what due diligence means, doesn’t it?

HST Transition Rules to be Rolled out Friday !

HST Transition-We will sneak that in Friday!

Finally we get good news that the transition rules regarding HST will be rolled out Friday.

We all wait with bated breath to see how long and what will happen with the transition.

Finance Minister Falcon says that we will find out Friday because they still have some last minutes negotiations to finish up.

Fridays are also known as bad news days in the government and the business world.Aptly named because most people don’t follow the news as much as other days and it is ripe for sneaking in bad news.

Did I say sneak in relation to news about the HST,that would be far to generous!

Government Staff Appreciation Programs in Action !

I wish I could say I am shocked,but I am not.

I am not sure what is worse, the government having a 1.5 million dollar staff appreciation program or Linda Terras head of the B.C Public Service agency defending the program by saying it ONLY works out to $52 per employee.

This was uncovered in an excellent piece of reporting by Michael Smyth.

As John Cummins ,leader of the BC Conservatives , points out in the piece, there are a number of different ways the program can be abused.

This comes on the heels of Mr.Smyth’s excellent series on Bullying in the government.

It makes you wonder what else is going on and why the people we elected are doing nothing about it.

Mr and Mrs.Taxpayer" It's only $52 per employee,who cares"

UPDATE

There is only one trial the people want to see on TV Christy!

The people have no clue what is best for them!

The people want the Hockey riot trials to be over! They want the guilty charged and convicted. They don’t care whether they are on TV or not.

The only person in this province who does not get this is the Premier,Christy Clark.

Even Vancouver’s Dipper Mayor understands that!

In the name of safety, shame and fair hearings the judge that will rule on the application Monday thinks it’s a sham.

This is another in a long line of misjudgements and gaffes made by the Premier!

There is one trial, however, the people are anxious to see on TV. It will occur on election night in 2013.That day Christy Clark and her government will be judged by a jury of their peers.

That trial date can’t come soon enough!

It's bloody obvious isn't it! The people are not smart enough to connect with me!

B.C.Liberals to Chilliwack:We want to buy your vote,is it for sale?

My name is Naomi and I would like to buy your vote!

In another brazen demonstration of old school politics, the B.C.Liberals went to Chilliwack in an attempt to buy off the voters.

Ever since they have appointed their candidate for the yet to be called by-election they have had minister upon minister make an appearance here.

Are they running scared?

Yes; sources tell Political Insider that the B.C. Liberals own internal polling shows them losing this riding badly.

So much so that the Premier has not yet called this by-election.

We wonder when that will happen. This district wants to be represented in the legislature.

It’s only fair!

What do you think?

Republicans say no one issue is more important than another.

A poll on Fox news today revealed that 56.18% of the issues put to forth respondents were equally important. Some of the choices were: fixing the medicare overhaul, addressing the threat from Iran, reducing the national debt, securing the boarder and fighting the war on religion.

This poll and the issues put forth may explain in part why Republicans are having a hard time getting behind one candidate.

There is no lighting rod issue to rally the delegates around one candidate.

Curiously absent was ” Giving Obama the boot” which I would think as a fairly important issue to most Republicans.

That's an issue they should keep front and center!

You weren’t gonna smoke that and go for a drive were you Bob?

Marijuana Liberal Leader lecturing membership at the convention.

Word comes today from a study done in Canada that the drug that the Marijuana Liberal Party proposed to legalize might not be a safe as everybody thinks.

In fact the study says that driving while on pot actually doubles crash risk.

I wonder how Marijuana Bob and newly nominated candidate Grant Gordon will address that while campaigning on the hustings in Toronto-Danforth?

A fresh load of crap from Christy Clark, the Premier without a plan.

Larry,Moe and Curly Joe

In exciting news Rich Coleman has inherited online gaming; oh yes he already has that.

Shirley Bond had her two roles combined into one;oh yea it already is. This is the same Shirley Bond ,who yesterday rehired or reappointed a portion of the judges that her government laid off that started this bottle neck in the courts.

The Premier was flabbergasted at the backlog in the courts;oh yea we knew that and yes with her nauseating discussion in the courts about adding cameras to cover the hockey riots she is adding to the back log herself.

Our fearless Premier, charging out for another photo-op says she is going to get to the bottom of this without throwing money at the problem. That is if you don’t count the almost $200,000 she is throwing out to the lawyers overseeing her project. Dean at BC Blue also reminds us that this same firm is a heavy contributor to the BC Liberal campaign and caused the taxpayers another great expense when one of their own was removed as a special prosecutor after having failed to disclosed donations to the MLA he was investigating.

The Vancouver sun says:Christy Clark announces measures to improve B.C. justice system. Actually No she hasn’t done anything of the sort, she is studying the problem.

John Martin,BC Conservative Candidate in Chilliwack says it best “Clearly this government has no plan, no blueprint to repair the ailing justice system,” says Martin. “Two weeks ago, the Attorney General emphatically stated there was no money to hire new judges. Twenty-four hours ago, they suddenly could afford to appoint nine judges.”

Given that Clark hired a lawyer to review the system, Martin would be correct: There is no plan or they would be doing something about it!
