Wynne Wins: Get Ready for Rae days! #ontpoli #ontario #bcpoli #canpoli

Here we go again!

Kathleen Wynne and her scandalous crew of Ontario Liberals won an overwhelming majority in the Ontario Election tonight and make no mistake about it: This win lands squarely in the lap of the dearly departed ( Tim Hudak) and the soon to be departed, Andrea Horwath.

Neither of them could get their respective bases out to vote and just like here in BC NDP Horwath’s crew LEFT her in droves in the last week of the campaign.

Their will be two leadership campaigns before the next election.

Wynne has said that she intends to recall the legislature with 20 days and reintroduce her budget that brought the election upon is in the first place.

If That budget goes through without huge changes expect credit rating agencies to start slashing Ontario’s credit rating making Canada’s largest have not province into largest Have even less than not province.

To preserve the credit rating and do the things that Wynne was proposing in budget will make some of Hudak’s campaign pledges look like a walk in the park.

So get ready for Rae days, they are coming to a community near you!

Ontario Election Debate:First Impressions Count! #onpoli #ontario #notwynning

People will remember: There is no difference between Wynne and McGuinty!

In my experience two things happen in debates.

Firstly they are stacked against the sitting Premier or Prime Minister by way of being out numbered by the opposition.

Secondly, first impressions matter and each leader gets one shot at either gaining or holding an audience.

Rarely is their ever a zinger the so-called knockout punch.

I can recall only three zingers in the number of years I have watched debates.

One is the often talked about Mulroney line that sunk John Turner back in 1988. ( you sir had an option)

The second would be Jack Layton’s dismantling of Mike Ignatieff in the 2011 election. ( worst voting record)

The third, surprisingly enough was John Cummins when he opened the 2013 BC Provincial election debate with the line:You all tuned in tonight to get a good look at the next premier of BC, Adrian Dix.

Well look they did,Dix was a deer in the headlights and Christie Clark shone and went on to win that election.

In the Ontario debate tonight, no matter how much BS the newspapers will have you believe ( maybe) there was no knock out punch.

There was however Kathleen Wynne making a lousy first impression and getting hammered on gas plants.

She looked awful and yes she apologized but guess what an apology is an admission of guilt.

One I think the voters of Ontario have been waiting to hear.

Prediction: This election, like all elections is about the economy and Wynne just reinforced in the voters minds ( she could have said no) that she is a weak leader who cant be trusted to manage their money.

On June the 12th the voters will vote no to Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals.

They will vote yes to Tim Hudak and the PC’s with an NDP led opposition.

( In BC people used to moan and groan about Gordon Campbell and then hold their noses and vote for him. They will do that for Hudak as well)

Just watch!

Justin Trudeau Campaigns With Kathleen Wynne; LOL #bcpoli #onpoli #canpoli

Yup Tonight’s By elections certainly were a joke, weren’t they!

Tonight Kathleen Wynne and her merry band of Ontario Liberals had their heads handed to them in two by elections that served to put the government on notice that the passing of their spring budget ain’t no gimme.

Prediction: Look for this government to fall and we will get a twofer.

Quebec and Ontario will likely go to the polls at the same time in a dual race of the have not provinces. ( Ask Jacques Parizeau if you don’t believe me )

Wynne pulled out all the stops including campaigning with Pierre Jr.aka Justin Trudeau.

These defeats knocked a little polish off his so called star as well.( The Liberals just didn’t lose , they got hammered so Justin ( lets fire up a blunt) Trudeau had virtually no buoyant effect on the results.

It won’t be soon enough before Ontario gets it’s general election and Kathleen and her corrupt government are sent packing.

Do you think there will be a spring election or will they get the required votes to pass their budget?

Ontario By Elections-Good measuring sticks for all Parties! #bcpoli #onpoli #canpoli

Who has the most to lose?

The upcoming by elections in Ontario could be used as a fairly important measuring stick as far as a potential full-on spring election in that province goes.

There is a lot at stake for all parties.

For the Tim Hudak lead Progressive Conservatives these votes will tell the tale of the shape they are in heading into the full on election. Are Hudak’s troubles behind him? We’ll soon know.

For the Andrea Horwath lead NDP these votes provide a chance to be taken seriously. A hammering at the polls here and they are in trouble.

There is a lot of discussions when by elections are called and whether they are important to the government of the day.

With the Forum poll released today maybe the Liberals internal polling is even worse and maybe these elections are more important than we are lead to believe.

Why else would the Liberals trot out Justin Trudeau to campaign at this early stage if they weren’t?

For the Kathleen Wynne lead Ontario Liberals these byelections are all about survival. Should they get their heads handed to them in February it could be a bellwether to defeat down the road.

It won’t bode well for Trudeau either, if he can’t turn the tide!

The Toronto Circus: Is the Bigger Scandal Just Around the Corner? #bcpoli #onpoli #canpoli

Gregor Robertson’s Evil Twin?

Only in BC Politics you say? Not anymore with all the goings on on Toronto lately.

Tomorrow, disingenuous Mayor wanna be Denzil Minnan-Wong will finish off his own political career when he brings a motion before Toronto City Council to ask the that the whole matter concerning the Ford affair be turned over to the provincial government so that they will step in and throw Ford out.

Minnan-Wong is disingenuous because he says he is bringing the motion to have Ford removed to clear the air around city hall and not as a prelude to the launch of his mayoralty campaign. This, as anybody that follows politics knows, is a load of opportunistic crap.

Of course he is trying to get a head start on the mayoralty campaign, but he does not have the balls to admit it. He’s just another gutless opportunistic politician who will find out shortly after he proceeds with his motion that he will be lucky if his family will vote for him , let alone find any volunteers Conservative or otherwise to help with his campaign.

Minnan-Wong would be a poster boy for what is wrong with today’s opportunistic excuses for politicians except that after the motion there will probably be enough poster boys and girls from the Ontario Liberal Party trying to present themselves front and center to help rule against Ford and create and even bigger scandal in Ontario.

Can you imagine a bunch of Liberals ( ones who are at the root of enough scandals of their own doing; think gas plants ) being put in the position of making that kind of a ruling over a Conservative Mayor.

A Liberal Party who also has a Liberal mayor up on fraud charges.

Not even Premier Wynne would stoop low enough to latch onto this ticking time bomb would she?

As Mayor Ford says tomorrow’s council meeting and ensuing motion will be a `rumble in the jungle“`

Maybe when it`s all over and now that the Rob Ford Bobbleheads have reached a fever pitch, they can move onto their next creation.

A Minnan-Wong donkey with a removable tail. That way voters can pin it on him because he`s such an opportunistic ass.

But don’t ever say it could only happen in BC, not anymore!

Who is the Worst Premier in Canada? #bcpoli #canpoli

This is no laughing matter!

As we head into a new week in this the silly season ( two days ago I was in shorts, today I looked for a parka, right now an ark) I thought it a good time to ask just who is the worst premier in Canada?

Could it be Christy Who? You know the premier who in her heart has vanished, shut down the legislature until spring?

Could it be Pauline, let’s have a secular treaty and see what that does for our economy and for our chances of re-election?

Could it be *Kathleen Wynne whose policies are killing the Ontario economy and who threatened the two other parties propping up her minority government with an election she would surely lose.

Tough choices to be sure.

For the time being I give the nod to Marios and Wynne two premiers who are turning Canada’s largest provinces and the supposed economic drivers into have-nots.

How about you?

* Wynne had help from a man named McGuinty but she is continuing his tradition.

Ontario Voters Getting Ready to Run Wynne and Company Out of Town? #ontpoli #canpoli

Time to clean up this once proud province I used to call home!

After the dust settled in the BC By-election, out comes a poll showing the Ontario Progressive Conservatives creeping up on the scandal prone Liberals in their soon to be held by-elections.

It looks like voters have had enough and they are ready to send a message to Kathleen Wynne and company and so they should.

I know you can make a case that these are McGuinty scandals but most of the people involved are those same people that sit on the bench today with Kathleen and her cabinet.

Heck even McGuinty himself, while being confused over his own email rules, went on record and said they failed as a government.

If they failed as their former leader claims they should be shown the door.

The voters in Ontario have a chance to start that process in August.

Let’s hope they do!
