Barack Obama Laid an Egg in the First Debate Tonight!

First Debate: Obama Lays an Egg!

A CNN poll after the debate tonight showed 67% of the people polled ( registered voters I should add) gave the win to Mitt Romney.

In every category, taxes, health care etc. Romney handed Obama his head.

More shocking than all that, the talking heads on liberal leaning CNN also said Romney “Out Obamad Obama”.

it’s not often even former Clinton Campaign manager James Carville gives in and says his team lost.

It was obvious that Obama wasn’t at his best and Romney was.

It seemed that Romney had better knowledge of the facts and was able to attack the President on his record.

Obama rarely went on the attack and in fact I thought he looked like he had aged about 20 years since the last election.

It will be interesting over the next couple of days to see the polling done in the swing states. Did Romney pick up some ground?

What do you think: Was this debate a game changer?

  1. Absolutely. Obama thought his lofty rhetoric would suffice until Romney dismantled his talking points like a rusty carburetor. Considering his questionable work ethics, the next debate may be just as painful for the President.

    1. I agree with that and funnily enough so did James Carville. he said he didn’t see Obama changing and I thought that was interesting given the role James has played within the democratic party. His comments were serious enough in that he tried to recover from them later in the analysis. Too late and I think it will be more of the same.

Sometime I wonder if Obama has lost the fire, whether he has had enough.

      1. That’s an interesting observation considering some of the criticism floating around the Democratic party that he seems disengaged from his responsibilities. He’s looking more and more like the front man for the Jarret and Alexrod show and he may be getting tired of the gig, so to speak. The dynamics of his continued presidency are troubling if he’s letting those around him make decisions he should be making himself. That may explain why he performed so poorly in the first debate.
